An intro to WunderPreview preview URLs

With WunderPreview, every commit can be previewed via a unique URL. This comes in handy when you want to present or compare different commits of a new feature in parallel or want to connect multiple previews with each other.

To get the best out of WunderPreview and stay as flexible as possible, we offer two ways to work with preview URLs:

Commit based preview URLs always point to a specific commit in your git history. You usually use the commit based URLs to compare specific commits or want to go back in time to check how things looked 7 commits ago.

Commit based preview URLs look like this:

https://{commit-hash}-{repository-slug}.wdpr.run

2. Branch based preview URL

Branch based URLs always point to the latest commit of a branch. As soon as a new commit is pushed to this branch, the preview will be updated.

Branch based URLs are especially useful when you want to e.g. share the progress of a new feature with someone or want your frontend preview to always point to the latest version of your backend preview. Read more on how to connect multiple previews.

Branch based preview URLs look like this:

https://{branch-slug}.wpdr.run

View this preview URL live at our django demo: https://main-wunderstack-wunderpreview-django-demo.wdpr.run – this url points to the latest version of the main branch.
